Sarmentero

The winery Amparo Repiso Vallejo springs from the love of its origins, Quintanilla de Arriba (on the banks of the River Duero) and the dream of keeping the vineyard's ancestor's tradition: "El araviñas", the grandfather Alejandro, my father Semproniano... Under the Designation of Origin and with a modern trellis plantation, this project begins in 2004.

This wine named as Sarmentero, a path that served to go to the vineyards, comes totally from our own soils, Prado de Oyales y Peñuelas. It has a limited and a very high quality production thanks to the neat handmade production and the necessary technology.

Sarmentero is elaborated with a 100% Tempranillo grape ripened under the sun of Castilla, following the methods of fermentation to then go into oak casks. Under this name, two products are elaborated: Sarmentero Roble, between 4 and 6 months into oak casks; it's a young, reliable and distinguished wine, the perfect partner to share among the friends.

Sarmentero Crianza, 12 months in oak casks and another 12 into bottles; it's powerful in flavours and with a beautifully long finish, it is ideal for special moments and great occasions.
